Cinergi Pictures
Cinergi PicturesCinergi Pictures was a film studio founded in 1989 by Andrew G. Vajna, previously the co-founder of fellow company Carolco Pictures. During their lifespan, they helped develop two games based off the comic book series Scud the Disposable Assassin, intended to tie into a Cinergi-produced film adaptation directed by Oliver Stone (which ultimately ended up never materializing). Due to releasing several box-office bombs, the company closed in 1998 and sold their library to Disney, but Vajna would later revive the Cinergi name as a full-on game company.
